the Arc de Triomphe
Erected at the request of Napoleon, theArc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. Besides the purely aesthetic reasons, due to the beauty of the building and the panorama offered over the capital, and more particularly the Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe is also, and above all, an important historical symbol.
The Grand Palais
Built from 1897 for the Universal Exhibition of 1900, the Grand Palais is located in the bourdures of the Champs-Elysées, opposite the Petit Palais, it regularly hosts prestigious salons and exhibitions. It has been classified as a Historic Monument since 2000.
The Eiffel Tower
It was on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of 1889, the date which marked the centenary of the French Revolution, that a major competition was launched.
The first shovels were given on January 28, 1887. On March 31, 1889, the Tower was completed in record time.
Today it is THE symbol of our capital.
The Palais de Chaillot
Built in 1937 instead of the Palais du Trocadéro, the Palais de Chaillot was created during the 1937 Exhibition. It is located on the Colline de Chaillot and overlooks the Jardin du Trocadéro and the Eiffel Tower.
